Maintenance and Care
Proper maintenance is essential to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your low-pressure compressor.
1. Drain the Tank Regularly:
Condensation builds in the tank. Drainage clears this water to prevent rust and damage.
2. Check and Replace Air Filters:
The air filter prevents dirt and debris from entering the compressor. Regularly check and replace the air filter as needed.
3. Lubricate Moving Parts (for Oil-Lubricated Compressors):
Follow the manufacturer's recommendations for oil type and change intervals. Using the wrong oil can damage the compressor.
4. Inspect Hoses and Fittings:
Check for leaks, cracks, or damage to hoses and fittings. Replace damaged components promptly.
5. Clean the Compressor Regularly:
Wipe down the compressor housing to remove dust and dirt.
6. Check the Pressure Switch:
The pressure switch should automatically shut off the compressor when the tank reaches its maximum pressure. Test the switch regularly to ensure proper function.
